FX 405 Laser

Automated four-diode laser scanner for nociceptive musculoskeletal and post-operative pain

Overview

About the FX 405 Laser

The FX 405 laser scanner offers all of the benefits of the FX 635 with the addition of violet laser for treatment versatility. Alongside the violet laser's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, it produces more energy per photon; research shows the combination of violet and red lasers results in greater pain relief and enhances reactive oxygen species (ROS), which play an important role in reducing pain and inflammation.

  • Four Class 2 line-generating diodes on patented articulating arms
  • Hands-free and automated — set up and treat other patients
  • Red and violet combination for greater pain relief
  • No burning, scarring or downtime; the patient stays awake throughout

Typical applications

  • Nociceptive musculoskeletal pain
  • Adjunctive treatment of post-operative pain
  • Chronic low back pain and plantar-fasciitis style protocols
  • High-volume physiotherapy, chiropractic and sports medicine practices

Product description

What the device does

The FX 405 uses low-level laser technology and patented laser diode arms to precisely target pain centres. The body absorbs the light energy, which encourages the cell's mitochondria to produce more ATP and promotes natural healing within the cell. Because the laser merely stimulates the cells to promote healing naturally, the FX 405 provides pain relief and reduces inflammation with no adverse side effects.

With its hands-free design, medical staff spend less time performing each treatment and can use that time to treat more patients — the clinician sets up the FX 405 and the device does its work.

Mechanism

How it works

Erchonia uses low-level lasers in the visible light spectrum. The primary mechanism for absorption of visible light photons is the elevation of electrons to higher energy levels — molecular excitement. In that excited state, chemical reactions occur: photons push an electron to a higher energy level where it can be picked up by an electron acceptor. The electron transport chain (ETC) uses those high-energy electrons to convert ADP into ATP, and the ETC is the primary source of ATP production in the body.

Users remain awake throughout the entire laser treatment and experience no burning, scarring or downtime, allowing them to resume the rest of their day as soon as the session is over.

FDA indications for use

Clearance K231409

  • a.While using the red and violet diodes, for the adjunctive use in providing temporary relief of nociceptive musculoskeletal pain.
  • b.While using the red diodes, as an adjunctive treatment of postoperative pain.

Device intended for medical professionals. Prescription use (21 CFR 801 Subpart D). Individual results may vary.
