How it works
Green light at 520–542 nm triggers a transitory pore in the adipocyte membrane. Stored lipid moves out of the cell into the interstitial space and is cleared through the lymphatic system. The fat cell is emptied — not destroyed, not frozen, not heated.
No heat is delivered to tissue, so there is no thermal injury, no anaesthetic and no recovery period.
Adipocytes remain intact and functional. Clearance follows normal lymphatic and metabolic pathways.
Comparative research shows adipose tissue responds more strongly to 520–542 nm green than to red wavelengths at equivalent energy.

Emerald Laser is an FDA market-cleared, non-invasive full-body fat loss treatment. Ten 520–542 nm green laser diodes emulsify adipose tissue so it is released into the interstitial space and cleared by the lymphatic system. It is the only device FDA cleared to treat individuals with a BMI up to 40.
520 nm green + 405 nm violet
The GVL is the newest addition to Erchonia's cold laser range and the first and only green wavelength laser to receive FDA clearance. It was shown to be the most effective wavelength combination for increasing range of motion and decreasing pain in a single session. Unique to the green wavelength is the ability to affect complex 3 in the electron transport chain.
640 nm red + 405 nm violet
The EVRL is Erchonia's red and violet handheld laser and its most popular handheld device. Combining these two specific wavelengths into one treatment modality produced better clinical results than the dual red device and opened a new range of treatment conditions, stimulating complexes 1, 2 and 4. The violet wavelength also demonstrates anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties.

The FX 405 laser scanner offers all of the benefits of the FX 635 with the addition of violet laser for treatment versatility. Alongside the violet laser's anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, it produces more energy per photon; research shows the combination of violet and red lasers results in greater pain relief and enhances reactive oxygen species (ROS), which play an important role in reducing pain and inflammation.

Lunula Laser is the first and only non-thermal laser FDA cleared for increasing new clear nail growth in individuals with onychomycosis.
